I think Alexander meant to be good, but on the way to being a great ruler, he wasn't so great to some people. To those people he was a stone cold killer. He was a murderer, who only cared about being king.

Alexander the Great was a villain, because he murdered innocent women and children in the groups that he battled even though they had done nothing wrong. He also crucified 2,000 men who stood against him, which is one of the most villainous things about him.

I think Alexander the Great was a villain because he killed so many people and was extremely narcissistic, more so than Odysseus. I also think he was a villain because he was untrustworthy and unfaithful, especially towards his home city.

I think that Alexander the Great was a villain because he did so many mean, evil, and bad things. For example, all Alexander did was kill, conquer places, and treat many people, but not all, badly. He may have killed his own father and killed many innocent people such as woman and children. Also, he treated his slaves harshly and ordered the murder of several close advisers. Even though he did some things in his life, I think he did more bad things.

I believe that Alexander the Great was a villain because he brutally killed many innocent people just because he was suspicious that they were planning to kill him. Also, he destroyed a village after he said that he would protect them when they surrendered to him. But he had his good moments, and I think that most of the time his emotions and mind were all over the place.

I think Alexander the "Great" was a villain. It was cruel, killing all those people. And making people slaves? Was that really necessary? He should be happy with what he had, too. And why would he want to conquer a world? Yah, sure helped the wounded soldiers. That is only one of a few nice things he did. He did more cruel things than nice things. And it is also selfish to name an entire city after himself. He could have named it after someone who has done nice things for him. Just my opinion, I'm not saying I'm right!

I think Alexander the was a villain because, he was selfish by naming a city after him, and a murderer because he killed 10,000 peopl and made 30,000 slaves, awful right and to top it off he left his home after 2 years after taking over to conquer lands and never came back! That why I think he is a villain.

I think that Alexander was a villain because he killed thousands of people in hopes of conquering the WORLD. Is it really worth it? I think that no matter how hard he tried it would not have happened. He killed his friend and hurt many if they didn't agree with him. Though his arrogance and cruelness got him known he was also known as a hero and good ruler.

Someone with that much power and rule at such a young age cannot not be normal. Adding that he thought he was a god and was such an amazing warrior really got to his head. He killed thousands of innocent people and never thought of it as anything. I mean people even suspected he killed his father! That is so not right. All this time I thought he was '' Alexander the Great!'' but he should be Alexander the Cruel or Alexander the killer. So as you can see, I think that Alexander was a villain, not a hero!

I think Alexander the Great was a hero, even though he killed thousands of people, the East and the West would've never been united without his conquests. It was also Alexander that freed the Persians of Darius III and let them worship and live how they wish. Also, without the many cities that Alexander founded, there wouldn't have been as much growth.

Possibly murdering his father, Murdering his half brother, and slaughtering 20 some friends. Does this sound like a hero to you personally? Alexander the Great had taken over SO many countries, which is why "the great" is added. He also never lost a battle. After 11 years at war! But everyone has their flaws, but some can become pretty intense. At first, Alexander wanted to become as powerful as he could possibly be. He wanted to be a great leader. But the power and kinda made him crazy. Nothing, not a single soul could get in the way of his victory, which was why he got so blood-thirsty and a killer. I think that he deserves the name of Alexander the Great, because of his ability of courage, and how great of a warrior he was. He was never distracted from his work as a ruler as he was determined to conquer the whole world!! In my opinion, Alexander was a HERO!!!

I think that Alexander was a hero. He was brave in battle and conquered much of the world including Persia. He united the conquered lands and spread Greek culture and religion. He spared many lives, although he sold most into slavery. Alexander allowed the people to keep practicing their religions and beliefs, and often learned them himself.

I think Alexander was a villain because when he tried to conquer Egypt ,the people that lived there were very nice to him and he killed them anyways.

Alexander the Great wasn't really that great because of his murders, and selling people to slavery like women and children. He didn't treat his men the people who fought for him with respect. Plus he was very self centered for his killings for no good reason and naming all of his countries Alexandria. So do i think he is a hero heck no i sure you he is a villain.

I beleive that Alexander the Great does not deserve the great in his name because he had destroyed and killed residents of beautiful cities and had left cities in ruins when he had destroyed them after he demolished all of the insides and out.

I think Alexander was a villain because he wanted to keep going but his army did not want to keep going and killing people but when Alexander's army went home some of them died and some got sick and at that time Alexander drank alcohol and the alcohol made him do poor decisions at only one point I thought he was a Hero because he believed that he could accomplish great thing's and an empire beyond what his father created but that was the olny Hero i think.

I think that Alexander the Great was a villain because he killed almost 100,000 people, and enslaved the rest, I don't believe he meant to become a villain, but what happens, happens, and he did

I think Alexander the great is a hero because of his bravery and smart war plans.Alexander saved a big amount of people of 20,000 live out of 6,000 dead.He was kind enough to share his culture and language. He was interested in other cultures and respected them as well andwas kind to his troops and gave them aid.

I think Alexander was a villian because in his eyes he was probably doing the right thing but he was one againt hundreds of thousands. He killed thousands of people, and the ones he gave mercy were sold into slavery. He burned down whole kingdoms even if they weren't doing anything wrong (Persia for example). Alexander was in no way great, he even pushed his soldiers too far. He was brave but he wanted nothing more than power and territory.

I think that Alexander the Great was both a hero and a villain. He did some great things in his life like conquering Persia, Thebes, Egypt and India. Unfortunately he killed thousands of innocent people in his quest to conquer the world. Like all of us, he had the potential for both greatness and darkness.

Is this Alexander's tomb?!It now appears likely that Ptolemy adapted a vacant tomb that had been prepared by and for the last native Pharaoh of Egypt, Nectanebo II. However, this Pharaoh had fled south to Ethiopia, when Egypt had been invaded by the Persians in 343BC, so he never had the opportunity to occupy his tomb. The site of the prospective tomb was a chapel within the temple complex of the Serapeum in the cemetery area of ancient Memphis at Saqqara. It lay at the end of a mile-long avenue of sphinxes. The Serapeum complex was rediscovered by Auguste Mariette in 1850-1851 by excavating the sands away from the sphinxes one by one. Guarding the entrance to the chapel of Nectanebo II, Mariette discovered an incongruous semicircle of life-size Greek statues of poets and philosophers, which appear to date to the time of Ptolemy. Some of them can be identified, including Pindar, whose house and descendants Alexander had saved at Thebes, Homer, who was Alexander's favourite poet, and Plato, who had been the mentor of Alexander's tutor, Aristotle. Could these statues have been erected to honour Alexander's tomb?
